Yet another test block

I’ve been continuing with my task of finding a block for my Blue Block Blanket. Sticking to my trusty copy of 200 Crochet Blocks, I tried #101 Into The Blue (a pretty appropriate block, I thought, given the colours I’ve picked).

Sadly I don’t think it really works with the colours I’ve picked. In a way that’s good because for something so simple, I was making mistakes left, right and centre. I don’t know why and it was driving me mad, so I don’t think this is the block for me!

To avoid making test blocks for every pattern in 200 Crochet Blocks, I had to make a decision. So I’m going with #89 Spinner. The circle in a square thing is pretty cool. I just need to pick a hook size now! And hope that the block looks good in the colours I’ve picked. *sigh* I think I see another test block coming on…

Kate, I made the blue block a couple of days ago and think there might be a fault with the pattern as I ‘never’ make mistakes!!! But I ended up frogging the block as I was so unhappy with it!!!!!
I like the spikey flower one though, good choice!!!

Hmmm, it seems a bit odd for both of us to have problems. Ok, I’m going to blame the pattern!!
